•The Sangita Kalanidhi Award is regarded as the greatest accolade in Carnatic music. It is given every year by the Madras Music Academy to a notable Carnatic musician.

 

•The prize is accompanied by a gold medal and an honorary title (Virudhu Patra). From 2005 onwards, the recipient also receives the MS Subbulakshmi Award, which comes with a cash prize.

 

•Many prominent artists have been honored with this coveted award, including singers such as T.M. Krishna (2024), Bombay Jayashri (2023) and violinists like Lalgudi Vijayalakshmi (2022).

 

Simlipal Tiger Reserve

 

•Simlipal Tiger Reserve is situated in Mayurbhanj district of Odisha, India. It is one of the largest tiger reserves in the country, covering an area of ​​approximately 2,700 square kilometres.

 

•The reserve harbors a variety of flora and fauna, with the presence of tigers, elephants, leopards, and many different species of birds and reptiles. It is also rich in diversified flora, and many medicinal plants are found.

 

• Simlipal Tiger Reserve falls under the Similipal-Kuldiha-Khadgarh Elephant Reserve and has been a pivotal point for many conservation activities, such as tiger translocation to increase genetic pool and anti-poaching activities. Scorpene-class submarines

•Scorpene-class are a class of diesel-electric attack submarine developed jointly by French Naval Group (formerly DCNS) and the Spanish company Navantia.
