lyophilization
Published On:

•It involves a dehydration process called lyophilization or freeze drying, which is in which pressure is reduced in the surrounding of a material that is frozen, making it in turn possible for the frozen water in the material to transition directly from the solid state into the gaseous state without passing through the liquid phase.
• The method is applied in several sectors, including pharmaceuticals (preserving heat-sensitive drugs), biotechnology (preserving biological samples), and food processing (producing lightweight, durable products, such as freeze-drying fruits).
•Freeze drying preserves the structural integrity and biological activity of the material without damaging it through traditional heat drying methods and results in a lightweight, easily rehydrated product that is suitable for long-term storage and transportation.
PM MITRA
•PM Mega Integrated Textile Regions and Apparel (PM MITRA) programme focuses on developing seven integrated textile parks in states such as Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Gujarat, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, and Maharashtra. These parks will cover the entire value chain of textiles-from spinning to garment manufacturing at one place.
•The scheme offers financial support in the form of Development Capital Support (DCS) and Competition Incentive Support (CIS). The Ministry of Textiles will provide up to Rs 500 crore per park for development and up to Rs 300 crore per park as incentive for early development.
•The PM MITRA is likely to attract substantial investments, generate employment, and enhance India's competitiveness in the global textile market. It will also reduce the cost of logistics besides creating world-class industrial infrastructure. Generation Beta:
