•The Indus Valley script( 3500- 1900 BCE) comprises 400- 600 different symbols, mostly occurring in short sequences of 4- 5 characters on seals and crockery.

• It reads right to left and uses pictographic/ logographic characters set up primarily at archaeological spots in ultramodern Pakistan and northwestern India.

• The script is still not deciphered as the necrology lengths are too short and no bilingual textbooks such as the Rosetta Stone exists.
