Quantum computing
Published On:

•Quantum computing relies on the principles of quantum mechanics, such as superposition and entanglement, to perform calculations.
•Unlike classical bits (0 or 1), quantum bits (qubits) can exist in multiple states simultaneously, thus enabling more complex and faster calculations.
•Quantum computing could revolutionize fields such as cryptography, drug discovery, and complex modeling by solving problems that are currently unsolvable with classical computers1.
Inflation
•Inflation is the rate at which the general price level of goods and services is growing, which reduces purchasing power.
•The demand-pull inflation arises because of excess demand, which exceeds supply; cost-push inflation arises due to high production costs; and the built-in inflation is found when wages are rising since businesses increase prices to have a profit margin.
•Inflation erodes purchasing power, impacting savings and investment and can lead to higher interest rates. However, moderate inflation is considered normal and can be a sign of a growing economy.
Gig worker
•Gig workers are people that do work on a flexible contract or freelance basis over short-term, rather than a traditional full-time basis. Examples include ride-share drivers, delivery people and freelance writers.
•Pros : They have flexibility in time; they have the prospect of earning more; one is free to choose diverse part-time jobs based on his skills and preferences.
•Challenges: Job insecurity, unavailability of the traditional benefits such as health insurance and retirement plans, and fluctuating income since side hustles change in nature.
